What’s a non-negotiable in your daily routine?
Intention. I wake up every day and ask myself: “What can I build today that will last beyond me?” My routine starts early with mental clarity while driving or riding my bicycle, visualizing or strategizing. I don’t compromise on that sacred morning time. That’s when I feel most aligned with my purpose.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received in business?
That I make people feel happy and young with good energy. Recognition comes and goes—but making someone feel like they matter in the process? That’s unforgettable, and it’s the energy I lead with.
What do you do when you want to get out of “work mode”?
I go inward. Disconnect. I visualize my future and visions of my dreams and grounding moments in Hawai‘i, or I simply sit in silence and let the ideas breathe. That reset isn’t about escape—it’s about remembering what really matters.
How do you bring aloha into your leadership style?
Aloha is presence—it’s listening deeper than words. I’ve built my businesses by honoring people, their stories, and making sure we create together. Aloha isn’t just a feeling; it’s a standard of excellence through grace. Of course, speak some pidgin.
What does leaving a legacy mean to you?
Legacy is love in action. It’s not the name you leave behind—it’s the people you lifted, the community you helped grow, and the generations that thrive because of what you built. Salon Blanc and Chandelier Holdings is my expression of that.
What’s your side hustle or creative outlet?
Creating. Designing. Drawing. Not just products, but atmospheres, movements, energies. Whether it’s developing a scalp serum or the flow of Salon Blanc, my outlet is turning ideas into experiences that last.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just a product or a business—it’s the fact that I never gave up when it was easier to quit. I built Salon Blanc during a financial collapse. I launched Chandelier Layers without a blueprint, just belief. I’m proud that I created something that not only provides for my family, but also gives people a platform, a purpose, and a sense of pride in their craft.
I’m proud that through every challenge—financial stress, market doubt, personal pressure—I stayed true to my values: loyalty, quality, integrity. My kids will one day know their father didn’t chase trends; he created standards.
And I’m proud that my team eats before I do. That I lead from behind when necessary, but I never stop paving the way forward.
Everything I build—whether a bottle, a brand, or a business—is a reflection of my inner world. I don’t just create for profit. I create to set a tone, to open doors, to rewrite narratives about what beauty, legacy, and leadership look like when rooted in authenticity.
